There are a lot of honest, sincere dealerships, but everybody must be careful when deciding to buy a car. Many people become distrustful to dealerships, they find out a lot of cases with dirty car dealer tricks. In this case dealers have a tarnished reputation and buyers avoid making any deal with them. 

“Auto dealer fraud” is a term that describes illegal practices used by automobile dealers. Some common types of auto dealer fraud include: spot delivery scams, incorrect credit scoring and/or financing eligibility scams, warranty scam etc.

1) Never drive the vehicle you have obtained off the lot until you are absolutely sure that the car financing is done and sealed.

2) Look for the loan terms as carefully as possible.

3) Collect various opinions on the loan and be ready to use external financing from a credit union or bank.

4) Define a budget and stick to it.

5) Plan to go away and come back several times before making the car buying deal.
