People living in big cities are at a higher risk of becoming a car dealer fraud victim. The cars like Toyota Long Island are one of the most sold cars. This is the main reason why dealers of Toyota Long Island are high in demand.

Auto dealers use a lot of scams which can cause big problems. You must know how to avoid these problems. Following are some of the most used scams and how you can prevent yourself from falling into them:

• When you are going to make a deal, you can often hear something like “You aren’t able to qualify for competitive financing rate with your credit score”. This scam can’t be true, if your pay your bills within the deadline. They can even show you the statement of your worst credit score. In this situation you should contact the credit bureaus yourself and get your credit report.

• Other dealer scam is a wrong car price. Make some research on the vehicle’s common price before visiting the dealership. Many websites can tell you about the real prices, rebates and incentives, its features and costs for extra features. Don’t forget to negotiate MSRP (manufacturer’s suggested retail price) price.

• Some weeks or months after your car purchase the dealer calls you and tells you that the financial scheme that you signed has finished. They do this because they want to opt for a more expensive car for you.

• Another scam is when a dealer provides you a lower payment per month and says:  “We can give you this car for only $X per month.” This can mean that you will have to pay a very large deposit. Calculate yourself how much you will have to pay each month and never ask it from the dealer. You must tell your terms to the dealer: “I will be able to pay for the car with X amount per month.”

Whatever you do, be careful! The end to such payments might never arrive. The result would be that you will have to pay even more than the existing payments you are making. Also make sure you read all the documents in detail.
